February Fun

With Valentine's Day over with and Jake's basketball season coming to a close, it will be nice to have some peace and quiet...if that is possible.  Jake has truly enjoyed his basketball experience through the YMCA.  We have been impressed how the program incorporates sportsmanship lessons each week.  Olivia is stating new words every week. This week she said shower and the word quiet.  She is also getting the hang of singing the ABC's. 



Super Bowl!

Jake and Olivia have embraced Indianapolis hosting the Super Bowl.  There is excitment in the air even if the Colts are not playing.  Jake was able to participate at the NFL Experience in the Super Bowl Village.  When we found the kid zone it was hard to get Jake away from the practice field. He just wanted to run up and down the turf and pretend he scored a touch down. The Super Bowl has been a blessing to the city.  We cross our fingers that Indy may host it again.

Basketball

Jake began basketball through the YMCA league this week.  He is on the Lakers team and has his practice and games on Saturday morning through March.  When asked what was his favorite part of basketball, Jake stated, "Everything!"

Olivia has found an interest in playing on a school desk that our neighbor gave to the kids. She loves to sit on the seat and look like she is in school.  It is precious! Olivia loves to talk...(takes after her mom).  Her favorite thing to do the past couple of weeks is pointing out her nose, ears, eyes, elbow, feet, hand etc...

Happy New Year- 2012!

We hope you had an enjoyable new year.  Olivia ended 2011 with getting tubes in her ears.  She did a great job during the procedure and is benefiting from having it done. Jake is enjoying the weather. The one day Indianapolis has had snow, he took full advantage of it. We hope 2012 brings you much happiness.

Merry Christmas 2011!

We hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas.  We are thankful to share highlights of our Christmas with family in Plymouth and Louisville.  The excitment and anticipation of Santa's arrival was magical.  More important Jake was able to explain the true meaning of Christmas.

Thanksgiving in Florida

We went to Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Greer side of the family.  This was Olivia's first time on an airplane.  During our stay Jake was surprised with a day trip to Disney World with his second cousin, Adam, who is his age. Both Jake and Olivia enjoyed Thanksgiving in the sun and loved playing on the beach.  It was hard to leave the 80 degree weather, but we are thankful to have had such a nice family trip.

November News

Jake and Olivia celebrated their momma's birthday with ice cream cake.  They also played at Snapperz during a rainy afternoon.  Next week the family is traveling to Florida for Thanksgiving.  We hope you all have a fantastic holiday with your family!
