Breakfast With Santa

We hope you are enjoying  Advent. Jake tells Olivia something new he learned from school concerning Advent each week.  We attended St. Simon's Breakfast With Santa. Jake and Olivia were eager to share their Christmas list with the man in the red suit.

Halloween 2013

Jake and Olivia had a great Halloween. Jake was a Power Ranger while Olivia was Princess Sophia. This is the first year Olivia truly comprehended the concept of trick-or-treating and loved every minute of it. Jake donated some of his candy for soliders through a school collection too.  Halloween was extreamly fun for all of us this year!

Enjoying Fall Break

Jake is enjoying first grade.  He loves doing math...(Chris is proud). We were happy with his report card too for the first quarter. 

Olivia has learned to write her name and use scissors in preschool. We recieved a hand-me-down bike and Olivia took off on it.  She is very excited to be riding with training wheels now and not a tricycle.  Time does fly by!

Flag Football & Scooter

Jake has had a wonderful start to first grade.  He loves his teacher and enjoys school.  After Labor Day Jake started the NFL flag football league. Jake is on the Broncos team in which he is thrilled because his favorite colors are orange and blue!

Olivia also loves her preschool classroom at Discovery Cove. She has been tracing her name and letters. Olivia has a new scooter and enjoys her new ride....of course it had to be pink!

First day of first grade

Jake had his first day of first grade on August 12th. He loves his teacher, Mrs. Horan, and is happy to be back at St.Simon Catholic School.  Olivia starts preschool at her daycare on August 19th.  We are all adjusting to our new daily schedule. Time really does  fly!

Lost Tooth and Kings Island

Jake lost his first tooth in July.  He had been waiting for this day for a LONG time.  Jake was excited to have the tooth fairy visit him and to show off his new smile. 

Jake and Olivia escaped to Kings Island for the day.  We went during the week to avoid the crowd and the weather was fantastic.  It was a fabulous family fun day!

Weddings & Vacation Bible School

On June 22nd Olivia was a flowergirl in a cousin's wedding.  Olivia loved her dress and did a great job on the big day.  Jake loved wearing a tie with his outfit as well.

This past week both Jake and Olivia participated in St. Simon's Vacation Bible School.  They truly enjoyed it.  Arts and crafts was their favorite center at VBS.

Summer Vacation Begins!

We are proud that Jake has completed his kindergarten year at St.Simon Catholic School. Now Olivia and Jake are on summer vacation.  The St. Simon festival kicked-off summer fun for the kids.

Jake turns 6 and park time!

Jake turned 6 years old on May 10th! He had a friend party at Pinheads Entertainment Complex where the kids bowled. Jake's godmother, AnneElise, and Rob stopped by for the festivities.

Both Jake and Olivia are enjoying the nice weather every moment they can.  Olivia had her first snowcone and I envision there will be many more to come this summer.  We look forward to being home on summer break at the end of May.

Olivia Turns 3 & Jake's Opening Day in Baseball

There was a double celebration at our house as Olivia turned 3 on April 25th and Chris turned the big 4-0!  We had a fantastic time celebrating the birthdays. 

Baseball season is in full swing. Jake is on the "Hot Rod" team with his best friend, Logan.  Chris likes their uniforms because the colors are similar to Purdue's school colors!
